Tomerdingen (Germany) - For immediate release - August 3, 1999
Boin GmbH, a manufacturer of metrology software for the semiconductor industry located in Tomerdingen, Germany, announced the expansion of its global distribution network for the WAFERMAP metrology software. The product is now directly marketed and sold in Germany, France, Switzerland, UK and other European countries by the J P Kummer group. In Japan the product is distributed by Sumisho Electronics Co., Ltd., NetScience Division. Another distribution agreement has been signed with Sewoo, Inc. in Korea. The company had already signed a distribution agreement for United States and Canada with Hologenix, Inc. in April 1999.
"We are pleased to announce these new distribution agreements and we look forward to a successful collaboration with our partners." said Dr. Manuela Boin, General Manager and co-founder of Boin GmbH.
WAFERMAP, which runs under Windows 95 and NT4.0, is used for off-line metrology data analysis and visualization. It allows for importing of data files from metrology equipment such as ellipsometers and four point probes as well as many other metrology tools used throughout the semiconductor industry. Data can be visualized and printed as 1D, 2D (contour) or 3D plots or as histograms.
Dr.Boin added: "Establishing a global distribution network for WAFERMAP is a very important goal. Every process engineer or research scientist within the semiconductor industry is a potential customer for our metrology software."
